As a Caregiver at Arden Courts, you will play a critical role within the Health and Wellness Team, directly assisting residents with various aspects of their daily lives. Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of services including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and assisting with activities, orientation, and information needs. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Virginia issued PCA or CNA is required
- Experience in elderly care preferred
- Experience with dementia patients preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Full use of hands, arms, and legs
- Ability to read and operate equipment related to care
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Virginia issued PCA or CNA certification
- Knowledge and experience in working with elderly preferred
- Previous dementia care experience preferred
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to speak English clearly
Job Duties
- Assist residents with personal care including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide food service support
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties
- Manage resident behavior and support socialization
- Organize and participate in activities
- Assist with resident orientation and information needs
- Collaborate with the Health and Wellness Team to ensure quality care
