The role of Caregiver at Auberge is pivotal to the Health and Wellness Team, tasked with assisting residents in all facets of their daily living. This includes providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as managing housekeeping tasks like laundry and food service to create a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The caregiver is also involved in behavior management and socialization activities, facilitating resident engagement and orientation to promote mental and emotional well-being. A strong understanding of elderly care, especially in managing dementia and related conditions, is preferred to provide tailored support that respects individual resident challenges. The typical physical demands of the role include the ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods, as well as push, pull, lift, and carry objects up to 50 pounds without assistance. Proficiency in basic reading and writing, along with effective communication skills in English, are essential to ensure clear interaction with residents and staff. Certification in accordance with state regulations is mandatory to maintain professional standards and ensure high-quality caregiving services.
