Job Description
Arden Courts is a leading provider in senior living and specialized memory care, committed to enhancing the quality of life for elderly residents, particularly those living with Alzheimer's and other dementias. Known for its compassionate and resident-centered approach, Arden Courts combines empathetic care with innovative programs tailored to the unique needs of each individual. The company places a strong emphasis on creating a supportive and engaging environment where residents feel valued, safe, and cared for by a professional and dedicated team. Arden Courts is also recognized for fostering a positive work culture that supports its employees through various benefits and professional development opportunities.
The role of a Caregiver at Arden Courts is integral to the Health and Wellness Team, focused on providing comprehensive daily assistance to residents. This full-time or PRN (as needed) position involves supporting residents in all facets of their daily lives, including personal care, hygiene, meal assistance, housekeeping, and laundry. Beyond the physical aspects of care, the Caregiver plays a vital role in behavior management, facilitating socialization opportunities, and helping residents with orientation and information needs. The goal is to ensure that each resident experiences a high standard of living, comfort, and dignity.
In this role, caregivers are valued not only for their technical care skills but for their compassionate nature and ability to create meaningful connections with residents. The team environment encourages collaboration among caregivers, nursing professionals, and activity coordinators to deliver holistic and industry-leading care. Arden Courts supports its caregivers with flexible scheduling, daily access to pay through ZayZoon, and no mandates to stay over for shift coverage. The company also offers fantastic perks such as uniforms, employee discounts, appreciation events, and holiday premium pay for those working on holidays. These benefits reflect an organization's commitment to employee satisfaction and work-life balance.
This position requires physical stamina as caregivers often stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods while providing hands-on care. The job also demands the ability to lift or move objects and residents up to 50 pounds unassisted. The role requires proficiency in using basic kitchen appliances, laundry equipment, and understanding basic medical instruments like thermometers and charts. Arden Courts ensures compliance with state certification requirements and encourages applicants with dementia care experience, valuing previous knowledge in elderly care.
Arden Courts upholds a strong commitment to equal opportunity employment, embracing diversity and inclusion by providing accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act (ADAAA). Caregivers can expect a respectful and supportive work environment that values their contributions and upholds a drug-free workplace policy. Joining Arden Courts means becoming part of a team that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, in an atmosphere of respect, dignity, and professional growth.
