As a Caregiver at Arden Courts, you will play a vital role within the Health & Wellness Team in supporting residents in all aspects of their daily lives. The position involves delivering comprehensive personal care, assisting with food service, housekeeping, and laundry duties, as well as behavior management and socialization support. This role demands patience, empathy, and a dedication to enhancing the lives of elderly residents, many of whom may be dealing with dementia. You will also help facilitate activities that promote orientation and cognitive engagement while addressing the information needs of residents. Physical demands require the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently. This is a rewarding opportunity for caregivers who are passionate about elderly care and want to contribute to a community that prioritizes compassionate support and holistic wellness throughout the aging journey. Arden Courts supports its staff through ongoing training and the provision of necessary equipment to perform duties effectively and safely. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- basic reading and writing skills
- ability to speak English in an understandable manner
- knowledge and experience in working with elderly
- previous dementia experience preferred
- certification required according to state regulations
- ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis
- full use of hands, arms, and legs
- ability to read thermometers, charts, testing equipment
- ability to operate clothes washers, dryers, and kitchen appliances
