The organization prides itself on providing industry-leading care through a dedicated Health & Wellness Team, ensuring residents receive personalized assistance across all aspects of daily living. Arden Courts combines medical expertise, innovative treatment programs, and a warm community atmosphere to enhance the quality of life for its residents. With a strong commitment to the well-being of elderly individuals, Arden Courts emphasizes dignity, respect, and holistic support to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of each person.
As a Caregiver at Arden Courts, the role involves direct interaction with residents, assisting them in a variety of essential daily activities that contribute to their overall health and comfort. This includes personal care such as bathing, dressing, and hygiene maintenance, as well as providing food service to ensure proper nutrition. Caregivers also handle housekeeping duties, laundry, and help manage behaviors associated with dementia, promoting a safe and positive living environment. Socialization and participation in activities are important components of the role, enabling caregivers to encourage engagement, orientation, and meet informational needs of residents. Arden Courts offers flexible employment arrangements with PRN positions that feature benefits like no mandatory stay-over shifts, daily access to pay through ZayZoon, uniforms, employee discounts, employee appreciation events, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and premium pay for holidays worked.
This position requires adherence to state-required certifications and background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, ensuring all caregivers meet safety and regulatory standards. The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat for extended periods, and assist residents with mobility, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted. The caregiver must be able to operate various equipment such as washers, dryers, kitchen appliances, and medical tools like thermometers and charts.
Arden Courts values diversity and inclusion and is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a drug-free workplace. The organization complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act (ADAAA) and provides accommodation for applicants with disabilities during the hiring process. Those with prior experience working with elderly populations, particularly individuals with dementia, are preferred. Effective communication skills in English are necessary, along with basic reading and writing skills. This caregiver role is integral to fostering a nurturing environment where residents can thrive with dignity and respect, making it a rewarding opportunity for compassionate individuals dedicated to senior care.
