Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification required according to state regulations
- Knowledge and experience in working with elderly
- Previous dementia experience preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis
- Full use of hands, arms, and legs for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, and cleaning
- Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment
- Ability to operate clothes washers, dryers, and kitchen appliances
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience in working with elderly
- Previous dementia experience preferred
- Certification according to state regulations
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Job Duties
- Assist residents with personal care such as bathing, dressing and grooming
- Provide food service including meal preparation and assistance
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean environment
- Manage resident behavior through supportive and compassionate techniques
- Facilitate socialization and participation in activities
- Provide orientation and address information needs of residents
- Collaborate with Health and Wellness Team to ensure quality resident care
