Job Description
Arden Courts is a dedicated senior living community specializing in providing compassionate care for elderly residents, particularly those dealing with memory impairments such as dementia. As a renowned provider in the health and wellness sector, Arden Courts emphasizes a supportive environment where residents receive personalized attention tailored to their unique needs. The organization operates with a strong commitment to dignity, respect, and industry-leading standards of care, attracting caregivers and health professionals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of seniors and their families.
The role of a Caregiver at Arden Courts is vital within the Health and Wellness Team, responsible for assisting residents in all facets of their daily life. This includes supporting personal care routines such as bathing and dressing, managing food service, housekeeping, laundry, and behavior management. Moreover, caregivers foster socialization and community involvement by facilitating activities and providing orientation and necessary information to residents. The role requires a hands-on approach, balancing physical demands with empathetic interaction to ensure residents’ safety, comfort, and quality of life.
The position offers flexible PRN employment opportunities enhanced by amazing benefits, including no mandatory overtime to cover shifts, daily access to earned wages through ZayZoon, company-provided uniforms, employee discounts, and appreciation events. An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) supports mental and emotional well-being, and holiday premium pay remunerates those who work on special occasions. This range of benefits underscores Arden Courts’ commitment to fostering a supportive work environment for caregivers while maintaining high standards of resident care.
Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to candidates with experience working with elderly populations, particularly those with dementia. Certification requirements are regulated according to state mandates. Physical capability is crucial to this role, requiring caregivers to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, and pull objects frequently, as well as lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds unassisted. Full manual dexterity is necessary for tasks such as washing, dressing, writing, and operating kitchen and laundry equipment.
Arden Courts is an equal opportunity employer that prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion. Qualified applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex or gender (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, veteran status, citizenship, familial or marital status, genetics, or any other legally protected classification. Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act (ADAAA) is upheld, with accommodations available upon request to enable all candidates to apply and contribute effectively.
