The role of a Caregiver at Arden Courts is vital for the daily support and assistance of residents. Caregivers provide comprehensive help with personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and meeting information needs. This role requires empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to resident care, ensuring that individuals receive respectful and dignified support. Caregivers work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and execute care plans tailored to each resident’s requirements. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
- Knowledge and experience in working with elderly
- Previous dementia experience preferred
- Certification required according to state regulations
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to push and pull objects and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis
- Full use of hands, arms, and legs
- Ability to read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment
- Ability to operate clothes washers, dryers, and kitchen appliances
Job Qualifications
