Job Description
Arden Courts is a leading memory care community dedicated to providing exceptional support and care to elderly residents, particularly those living with dementia and other memory-related challenges. As a compassionate and professional organization, Arden Courts prioritizes creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes dignity, respect, and enhanced quality of life for all residents. The community is well-regarded for its specialized programs, skilled staff, and commitment to innovative care practices that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Arden Courts operates with a strong emphasis on teamwork, empathy, and continuous improvement, ensuring that every resident receives personalized attention tailored to their unique needs.
The Caregiver role at Arden Courts plays a critical part within the Health & Wellness Team by assisting residents with their daily living activities to foster independence and well-being. This multifaceted position involves providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, delivering nutritious food services, maintaining clean and orderly living spaces through housekeeping and laundry tasks, and supporting behavior management strategies that address resident-specific needs. Caregivers also engage in socialization activities designed to stimulate cognitive function and emotional health, facilitate orientation efforts to help residents feel secure and informed, and address information needs related to daily routines and care plans. This role requires a hands-on approach, physical stamina, and strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and the care team.
Arden Courts offers part-time employment opportunities for caregivers with a competitive hourly wage and an impressive benefits package. Employees benefit from no mandatory overtime shifts, which supports a healthy work-life balance, and enjoy daily access to earned wages through ZayZoon, allowing financial flexibility. Uniforms are provided to maintain professional standards and comfort on the job. Staff can also take advantage of employee discounts and participate in appreciation events that foster camaraderie and recognition. Additionally, Arden Courts supports employee well-being through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid time off, and premium pay for holidays worked. The company's inclusive and equitable workplace culture promotes diversity and offers reasonable accommodations as mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
This caregiver position requires a commitment to compassionate service, physical capability to assist residents with mobility and daily tasks, and adherence to state-mandated certification requirements. Candidates with prior experience in elder care, particularly with dementia patients, are preferred, enabling them to navigate the unique challenges associated with memory care. Arden Courts values basic literacy and communication skills, primarily in English, to ensure clear interactions and accurate documentation. Physical demands include the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push and pull objects, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Full use of hands, arms, and legs is necessary to perform all caregiving duties effectively, including handling laundry and kitchen appliances. By joining Arden Courts, caregivers become vital contributors to a compassionate community where their efforts significantly impact the lives of residents and their families.
