The Caregiver role at Arden Courts is vital in supporting residents with their day-to-day living activities, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and attention. Caregivers assist residents with personal hygiene, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavioral management, socialization, and participation in planned activities. The role demands compassion, patience, and attention to detail, as caregivers contribute directly to the emotional and physical well-being of residents. Caregivers at Arden Courts work closely with the Health & Wellness Team to ensure that every resident’s care plan is implemented effectively and in accordance with state regulations. This role requires passing additional screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, which reflects the company's commitment to resident safety and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic reading and writing skills, and the ability to communicate clearly in English. Prior experience in elder care, especially with dementia patients, is preferred along with certification as required by state regulations.

Physical demands include the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat for extended periods, push and pull objects, lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted, and use hands and arms for caregiving tasks. The caregiver must also be able to read and operate various medical and household equipment. Job Requirements

  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to communicate in English understandably

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Provide food service and ensure proper nutrition
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean living environment
  • Manage resident behavior and support socialization and engagement activities
  • Assist with orientation and communication needs of residents
  • Participate in planning and facilitating recreational and therapeutic activities
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies
