Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
- Knowledge and experience working with elderly
- Previous dementia experience preferred
- Certification required according to state regulations
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Full use of hands, arms, and legs for caregiving tasks
- Ability to read medical equipment and operate household appliances
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to speak English clearly and understandably
- Knowledge and experience in elderly care preferred
- Previous experience with dementia care preferred
- Certification as required by state regulations
Job Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide support with food service including meal assistance
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Manage resident behavior and provide emotional support
- Facilitate socialization and participation in community activities
- Assist with orientation and information needs of residents
- Operate medical and household equipment as required
