Job Description
Krista Care is a compassionate and dedicated home care agency specializing in providing non-medical care to elderly clients, those recovering from illness, individuals living with disabilities, and anyone needing assistance with daily life tasks. As a growing agency, Krista Care is committed to connecting caring, dependable caregivers with clients who require support to maintain their independence and quality of life at home. Founded on the values of empathy, respect, and reliability, Krista Care understands that caregiving is real work that truly matters in the lives of the people they serve. The organization creates an environment where both clients and caregivers feel valued and supported.
At Krista Care, caregivers are more than employees; they are vital members of a community that influences positive change. The agency prioritizes building meaningful relationships with caregivers through personalized communication and dedicated coordination. Caregivers have the opportunity to work steady hours with schedules that fit their lifestyle, making it an ideal position for those who need flexibility combined with reliable employment. Krista Care also offers a competitive wage starting at $19.00 per hour, weekly direct deposit pay, and opportunities for bonuses for caregivers in good standing.
This role is ideal for individuals who genuinely desire to help others and possess patience, warmth, and dependability. Prior experience is not required. Instead, the agency values people who have cared for family members, volunteered in their communities, or have a natural inclination towards caregiving. Ongoing training and support are provided to equip caregivers with the skills they need to succeed and confidently handle the responsibilities of their role.
The caregiving position involves assisting clients with a range of non-medical personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. Caregivers serve as companions who provide emotional support and engagement, ensuring clients feel valued and cared for throughout the day. Importantly, caregivers provide medication reminders but do not administer medication or perform medical interventions. Flexible shifts are available starting at 4 hours, and caregivers can work up to 6 days a week, including day, evening, and night shifts based on availability and preference.
Krista Care values bilingual caregivers, particularly those who speak languages such as Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Korean, as this helps serve the agency's diverse client base more effectively. The company supports caregivers by covering initial costs like TB tests and reimbursing Live Scan and Home Care Aide (HCA) registrations once caregivers are established with the agency. Caregivers have access to benefits such as a 401(k) retirement plan, holiday premium pay, paid sick time compliant with California laws, paid vacation after one year of service with sufficient hours, and health insurance options for full-time employees.
Working at Krista Care means joining a team that respects your time, values your dedication, and helps you build a meaningful career in caregiving. The agency’s commitment to fairness and opportunity is evident in its equal employment policies and compliance with the California Fair Chance Act, ensuring that all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records, are considered fairly after a conditional offer. This is a non-medical caregiver role that requires physical ability to assist clients with mobility, including lifting up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
In summary, Krista Care offers a supportive work environment, flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and a rich sense of purpose. It is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to make a tangible difference in people's lives while building a rewarding career in the growing home care industry.
