Job Description

Comfort Keepers is a respected home care service provider dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and allowing them to maintain their independence through compassionate in-home care. As part of a franchise operating in San Diego County, particularly in North County areas such as Escondido, Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Marcos, and surrounding communities, this employer is committed to matching caregivers with clients close to their home, reducing commute times and increasing job satisfaction. The franchisee operates independently, setting their own wages and benefits which can vary, reflecting a flexible and personalized approach to employment. This hiring opportunity is for a Caregiver position focused on delivering high-quality private-duty care to seniors in these vibrant North County communities.

This role is centered on providing essential care services including personal care, hygiene assistance, mobility support, medication reminders, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. Caregivers also offer transportation services for errands and appointments and provide companionship, emotional support, and mental health care to clients, including those coping with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s, anxiety, and depression. The position emphasizes continuity of care and building consistent relationships by allowing caregivers to work regularly with the same clients whenever possible, fostering stability and trust. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $18.25 to $25 per hour depending on experience and credentials, weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options. The work schedule is built around caregiver availability, offering part-time and full-time opportunities allowing for work-life balance. Training and professional development are paid and ongoing, ensuring caregivers continue to grow in their skills. 24/7 on-call support ensures help is available in emergencies quickly, making this role both rewarding and well-supported.

Caregiving with this Comfort Keepers franchise represents a genuine career path, not just a temporary job. There is clear potential for growth within the organization, with career advancement from Caregiver to Senior Caregiver, and further opportunities in client care coordination, scheduling, or sales depending on individual strengths and aspirations. Whether caregivers choose to stay in direct care or transition into other roles, this franchise values and supports employee development and success. This opportunity is ideal for compassionate individuals who value making a meaningful difference in seniors’ lives and who want to work close to home within a supportive, respectful, and professional environment.
