Job Description

This job posting is for a Caregiver position at Arden Courts, a leading healthcare provider specializing in memory care for individuals with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Arden Courts is widely recognized for its commitment to quality resident care and its supportive work environment. The company places a high priority on the well-being of its residents and staff, offering comprehensive support services to ensure the best possible care outcomes. Arden Courts operates as a part-time employer offering an active New Jersey Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) role, with a highly attractive $1,500 sign-on bonus to qualified candidates. This initiative reflects the company's dedication to attracting skilled caregivers who are committed to enhancing the lives of elderly residents, particularly those facing memory-related challenges.

As a Caregiver at Arden Courts, you will play a vital role in assisting residents with all aspects of daily living. Your responsibilities will encompass personal care support such as bathing, dressing, and grooming; food service assistance including meal preparation and feeding; housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean, comfortable environment; as well as behavior management tailored to individual resident needs. Beyond these physical tasks, you will also be crucial in providing socialization opportunities through activities, orientation, and addressing information needs, fostering a sense of community and engagement amongst residents. Working within the Health and Wellness Team, you will be part of a collaborative group focused on delivering industry-leading care and improving quality of life.

The caregiver role requires a compassionate and patient individual who is sensitive to the unique challenges faced by residents with dementia. Experience with elderly care and dementia is preferred, highlighting the importance of emotional intelligence and specialized communication skills in this role. Physical demands are significant and require caregivers to have stamina and mobility to perform activities like standing, walking, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted. Full use of hands, arms, and legs is essential to perform tasks such as washing, bathing, dressing, cleaning, and handling kitchen appliances and equipment. Additionally, caregivers must be able to read thermometers, charts, and operate washing machines and dryers.

Arden Courts offers a range of remarkable benefits, including daily access to pay through ZayZoon, uniforms, employee discounts, employee appreciation events, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid time off, and premium holiday pay for hours worked. These benefits are designed to support the health and well-being of employees while recognizing their hard work and dedication. The hiring process is conducted with a strong commitment to equal opportunity, providing employment consideration regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic. The company also embraces the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act (ADAAA) to ensure that applicants with disabilities receive reasonable accommodations during the application process. Overall, working as a Caregiver at Arden Courts is a rewarding opportunity for compassionate individuals passionate about elder care and dementia support, seeking a supportive work culture and competitive compensation.
