Job Description
Home Instead is a trusted home care services provider dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors and individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. Established as a leading company in the senior care industry, Home Instead focuses on delivering compassionate, personalized care that allows clients to maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. The company is renowned for its commitment to supporting both clients and caregivers, offering stable employment with competitive compensation and a supportive community. Home Instead operates across many regions, including the Los Angeles area, where it urgently seeks experienced caregivers to join its growing team.
This role as a Home Caregiver offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors and those requiring assistance. Caregivers are compensated competitively with hourly wages between $18.50 and $19.25 and enjoy the benefit of weekly pay via direct deposit. The organization supports caregivers with paid holidays at 1.5 times the hourly rate, sick leave accrual, paid training programs, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits based on eligibility. Additionally, the role offers mileage reimbursement for travel during visits and between visits on the same day, along with a generous caregiver referral program offering $700 for successful referrals. The position also includes eligibility for 401k matching and opportunities for continuous learning and professional development.
As a caregiver, individuals will build lasting relationships with clients, offering companionship and personalized support to enhance their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities include assisting clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal care services such as grooming, bathing, restroom assistance, and managing incontinence. Home Instead places a strong emphasis on consistent care delivery, encouraging caregivers to work at least two weekly shifts with the same client or clients to foster trust and superior care quality. The company ensures its caregivers have access to state-of-the-art mobile app technology for real-time updates on client needs, scheduling, and earnings tracking, as well as 24/7 support from a dedicated team.
Ideal candidates for this caregiver role will have at least six months of paid professional caregiving experience (non-family) or hold relevant credentials such as CNA, HHA, LVN/LPN, or RN. A valid driver's license is required to support client visits across the Los Angeles area, and basic English communication skills are essential, with encouragement for bilingual or multilingual applicants. The role requires compliance with all relevant licensing and registration requirements. This position offers fast job placement, a supportive work environment, and a chance to contribute meaningfully to community health and well-being while receiving steady income.
