As a Caregiver with Home Instead in San Antonio, you will play an essential role in improving the quality of life for elderly clients by offering compassionate companionship and personal care services. This employment opportunity is part-time or full-time, with competitive hourly wages ranging between $14.00 to $14.50, paid weekly via direct deposit. In addition, caregivers are eligible for various benefits such as sick leave accrual, paid training, holiday pay at 1.5 times the regular rate, and medical, dental, and vision coverage based on eligibility.
The caregiver position involves assisting with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, grooming, bathing, restroom usage, and managing incontinence. The role requires a valid driver's license and dependable vehicle to support travel between appointments and errands, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of paid professional caregiving experience (non-family)
- CNA, HHA, LVN/LPN, or RN credentials highly preferred
- must have two professional references
- willing and able to work at least two weekly shifts with the same client to provide consistent care
- basic English speaking, reading, and writing abilities
- complete any necessary compliance, license, or registration requirements
- valid driver's license and dependable vehicle
- pass any required background checks
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of paid professional caregiving experience (non-family) or be a CNA, HHA, LVN/LPN, or RN
- must have two professional references
- have basic English speaking, reading, and writing abilities (bilingual or multilingual individuals are encouraged to apply)
- ability to foster compassionate client relationships
- ability to work consistently at least two weekly shifts with the same client
Job Duties
- Foster relationships with clients through companionship and compassionate caregiving
- assist with meal preparation and perform light housekeeping duties
- provide personal care services, including assistance with grooming, bathing, restroom use, and managing incontinence
- leverage industry-leading mobile app for real-time updates on client needs and schedule management
- ensure consistent care by working at least two weekly shifts with the same client
- communicate effectively with clients and families to report on care progress
- adhere to all compliance, license, or registration requirements
