The role of Caregiver at Arden Courts is integral in supporting residents with their daily living needs. This position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including assisting with personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, and facilitating socialization and activities. Caregivers are vital members of the Health & Wellness Team, dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of resident care through compassion and professionalism. The role demands individuals who are patient, empathetic, and skilled at working with the elderly, particularly those with dementia-related conditions. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • certification required according to state regulations
  • knowledge and experience working with elderly
  • previous dementia experience preferred
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted frequently
  • full use of hands, arms, and legs
  • ability to read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment
  • ability to operate washers, dryers, and kitchen appliances

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • knowledge and experience in working with elderly populations
  • previous dementia experience preferred
  • certification required according to state regulations
  • basic reading and writing skills
  • ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • assist residents with personal care needs
