We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Care Professionals (Care Pros) in the greater Baton Rouge area. This role is ideal for those who have a heart for helping seniors and are eager to make a real impact on the lives of others. Whether you have prior caregiving experience or are new to the field, Home Instead provides full training to equip you with the skills necessary for success. Our Care Pros provide essential support that enables seniors to live safely and comfortably at home, performing a variety of tasks that range from companionship and personal care to light housekeeping and transportation.

This opportunity offers both full-time and part-time positions, with flexible scheduling options typically arranged in 4-hour shifts, but also available in 8- and 12-hour blocks to accommodate different lifestyles. Home Instead is committed to building consistent schedules so employees can count on regular hours, ensuring work-life balance. The service area covers a broad region including Central, Denham Springs, Zachary, Walker, Baker, New Roads, St. Francisville, Port Allen, Prairieville, Plaquemine, Donaldsonville, and Gonzales, allowing Care Pros to serve clients close to their preferred locations.

As a Care Pro, your role will involve building meaningful relationships with seniors and assisting them with activities of daily living (ADLs). This includes providing companionship, engaging in conversations, helping with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and incontinence care, as well as offering reminders for medication and facilitating transportation to appointments and errands. Special care and attention are also given to seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia, making this position both rewarding and impactful.

Home Instead offers competitive pay ranging from $13.75 to $16.75 per hour depending on experience and commitment. Weekend pay starts at $13.25 per hour, and live-in positions are available with earnings up to $41,000 annually.
