Job Description
Comfort Keepers is a reputable home care franchise dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and other individuals who require support to live independently. As a franchisee, Comfort Keepers operates as a network of independent business owners who deliver personalized, compassionate care tailored to meet each client's unique needs. The Comfort Keepers East County franchise serves the communities of El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee, Lakeside, and surrounding neighborhoods in San Diego County, providing local caregivers with opportunities to work close to home in a rewarding caregiving career.
This Comfort Keepers franchise is expanding its care team to better serve seniors in East County. The franchisee is looking for empathic, reliable caregivers to join their team focusing on in-home care that promotes safety, dignity, and well-being. The franchisee sets its own wage and benefits programs with competitive pay ranging from $18.25 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience and credentials. Weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, and flexible schedules designed around caregiver availability are key features of employment. Both part-time and full-time positions are available, facilitating a work-life balance conducive to the caregivers’ lifestyles.
The caregiver role involves providing direct assistance for seniors, including personal care, hygiene, mobility, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments or errands. Caregivers will develop ongoing relationships with clients, often supporting individuals living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, or behavioral health challenges such as anxiety or depression. Those with high-end private-duty experience or mental health backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply. Assignments are mostly consistent with the same clients when possible, offering stability and deepening the caregiver-client bond.
Comfort Keepers East County provides paid training and ongoing skill development to enhance caregivers’ professional abilities. Caregivers receive 24/7 on-call support to quickly address emergencies and concerns. This job is not just a stopgap but a true career path with advancement opportunities to Senior Caregiver roles and beyond, including positions in client care coordination, scheduling, or sales, according to individual strengths and career goals. Whether one chooses to remain in caregiving or explore other facets of elder care services, Comfort Keepers fosters a supportive environment for growth and success.
Overall, Comfort Keepers East County offers a meaningful career where caregivers can make a measurable difference in the lives of seniors while enjoying competitive pay, benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), and working close to home in familiar communities. This caregiver role is ideal for compassionate individuals who want to provide dependable, client-focused care in a professional yet nurturing setting, backed by a franchise committed to quality and respect for both caregivers and clients.
