Job Description
Home Instead is a reputable senior care service provider operating across Sonoma County, including notable locations such as Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, and Petaluma. The company specializes in offering compassionate, personalized in-home caregiving services aimed at supporting seniors and individuals who require assistance with daily living tasks. With a strong emphasis on care quality, Home Instead ensures that clients receive consistent and reliable support tailored to their unique needs. The agency fosters a professional environment that values caregiver-client matching based on availability and specific client requirements, providing a stable and supportive workplace for its employees.
At Home Instead, caregivers are offered various shift options to accommodate different schedules, including weekday, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts. This flexibility allows caregivers to find work hours that suit their lifestyles and commitments. The position also comes with competitive pay ranging from $20.00 to $20.75 per hour, reflecting the valued skill set and dedication required for quality caregiving. Employees benefit from weekly pay with direct deposit, a $250 new hire bonus when hired by August 31, 2026, and a $700 caregiver referral bonus, underscoring the company’s commitment to acknowledging the efforts of its workforce.
The role involves providing one-on-one care within clients’ homes, supporting seniors with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and managing incontinence care. Additionally, caregivers assist with safe mobility and transfers, prepare meals, perform light housekeeping tasks, and offer companionship to help clients maintain their independence and overall well-being. Paid orientation is typically scheduled within the first week, alongside ongoing paid training and learning opportunities to ensure caregivers remain skilled and confident in their duties.
Home Instead also provides medical, dental, and vision benefits based on eligibility, contributing to caregiver well-being and job satisfaction. Staff enjoy paid holidays at 1.5 times the regular rate, and there is potential for overtime opportunities. Eligible employees have access to a 401(k) matching program, fostering long-term financial planning. Mileage reimbursement is available for travel during and between client visits, which supports caregivers who travel as part of their job responsibilities.
The company prides itself on the supportive environment it creates, offering 24/7 support from the care team and quick follow-up for qualified candidates during business hours. The mobile app facilitates schedule management, client updates, and access to earnings information, which simplifies communication and operational efficiency for caregivers. The combination of flexible scheduling, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing support makes Home Instead an excellent place for experienced caregivers to advance their careers and make a positive impact in their communities.
