Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • knowledge of basic first aid

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in providing care services preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • compassionate, patient, and dedicated to excellent care
  • ability to follow directives and work effectively in a team environment
  • skills in nurturing and interest in working with older adults
  • knowledge of basic first aid

Job Duties

  • Provide services to each resident according to the resident service plan
  • assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, and mobility
  • observe and report changes in resident health, safety, and well-being
  • respond promptly to call signals and resident emergencies by assisting immediate needs or contacting emergency support
  • support resident mobility through assistance with transfers, positioning, walking, and use of mobility aids
  • assist with serving meals and bussing tables during mealtimes
  • offer companionship and encourage socialization among residents
  • launder resident clothing, linen and towels, folding and returning them to residents
  • complete minor housekeeping of resident apartments maintaining a pleasant home environment
  • maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information related to residents, facility operations, and personnel
  • report on-the-job injuries to supervisors promptly
  • perform other duties as assigned
