Job Description
NeuroRestorative, a division of Sevita, is a prominent provider of rehabilitation services catering to individuals across all age groups who face challenges due to brain, spinal cord, and other medically complex injuries and illnesses. The company operates in diverse locations and community-based environments, offering specialized programs including vocational support, various therapeutic activities, day treatments, and services tailored for infants, children, adolescents, military service members, and veterans. As part of the well-established Sevita family, which has over 50 years of experience in delivering quality care, NeuroRestorative stands committed to enhancing the independence and quality of life for those they serve. Sevita's impressive network includes more than 40,000 dedicated team members providing care nationwide to approximately 50,000 individuals, reflecting its leadership and stability in the home and community-based specialized healthcare sector.
The role of Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver is a part-time position, requiring 8 hours per week with shifts during the day from 7 am to 3 pm. The hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $19.50, depending on experience, making this not only a rewarding opportunity but also a viable part-time income source. In this position, you will play a critical role in positively impacting the daily lives of individuals receiving care by providing training, assistance, and supervision in essential life skills. Responsibilities extend beyond typical caregiving, involving supporting individuals in residential and community settings with activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration. This hands-on work ensures recipients can maintain and improve their daily functioning and quality of life.
Additionally, as a Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver, you will foster community integration by facilitating relationships between clients and employers, supporting outreach activities, accompanying clients on outings, and providing transportation to work or other community engagements. Collaboration with clinical staff is vital to ensure that therapeutic and behavioral plans are adhered to and effectively implemented. This role suits compassionate individuals committed to making a meaningful difference, offering opportunities to engage with clients in dynamic and varied ways, never repeating the exact same day. The position offers career development, paid training, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement, and a supportive work environment where your efforts directly contribute to the success and independence of those served.
