The role of the Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver is a vital and rewarding opportunity within this respected organization. This full-time position features an afternoon to evening shift from 3 pm to 11 pm, situated in a rehabilitation setting. Candidates in this role will experience the fulfillment of making a profound difference in the daily lives of individuals receiving care. Life Skills Trainers are responsible for providing hands-on training, supervision, and assistance to individuals in various areas of living skills and therapeutic recreation both in residential and community environments. This position requires working collaboratively with clinical staff to support and implement therapeutic and behavioral plans, ensuring that each individual’s unique needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with essential activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration, thereby playing an integral role in helping individuals gain independence and improve their life skills. Additionally, Life Skills Trainers facilitate positive interactions between employers and program participants, support community integration by accompanying individuals on outings or providing transportation to work or other activities, and contribute to a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. This role demands a caring attitude, strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a steadfast commitment to quality.
