Job Description
Mentor Community Services, a vital part of the Sevita family, is dedicated to providing compassionate, community-based support services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sevita is a nationwide leader in home and community-based specialized healthcare, committed to empowering individuals to live fuller, more independent lives. With over 50 years of experience and a team of 40,000 employees, Sevita supports approximately 50,000 individuals across the United States. The company believes strongly in the right of every person to live well and finds great importance in fostering meaningful careers for those who wish to make a difference.
At Mentor Community Services, you will join a mission-driven team where your contribution truly matters. We value creating relationships that inspire everyone involved, offering an environment where caregivers grow not only professionally but personally. This commitment to service excellence reflects in the quality care everyone involved strives for daily.
The role of Direct Support Professional Caregiver (part-time) at Mentor Community Services is centered on inspiring and supporting individuals in their daily lives. This role is designed for compassionate, patient individuals who want to make a tangible impact on others by assisting those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The caregiver will help participants develop essential life skills such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, emphasizing independence and community integration. This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to foster real, meaningful relationships and make a lasting difference in people’s lives.
Starting pay ranges from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour depending on experience, with additional benefits like on-demand pay options that provide flexibility, referral bonuses, and for full-time roles, a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance. This position offers a stable onsite role with opportunities to grow within a nationally recognized and supportive organization. You will be empowered to take initiative and supported by leadership that trusts you to do what’s best for the individuals you serve.
Your work will include personal care, assisting with daily hygiene needs, and supporting individuals who may present behavioral challenges or have other complex needs. The role requires patience, compassion, and reliability, making it ideal for those who find true meaning in helping others thrive. As part of Sevita, you’ll be joining an inclusive workplace that values diversity and ensures equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, gender identity, disability, or other protected characteristics. If you’re looking for a career where you can truly make a difference while developing your own skills and fulfilling your passion, this caregiver position is an excellent fit.
