Job Description
Mentor Community Services, a vital part of the Sevita family, specializes in delivering community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sevita, recognized as a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care, is committed to empowering individuals to live full, independent lives regardless of their physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges. With over 50 years of experience, Sevita serves 50,000 individuals across the United States through the dedicated efforts of its 40,000 team members. The organization prioritizes quality, individualized support and has developed a mission-driven culture focused on fostering independence, growth, and well-being for the people they serve.
Joining Mentor Community Services means becoming part of a compassionate, mission-driven team that believes every person has the right to live well and every employee deserves a fulfilling career. As a caregiver at Sevita, you will engage in meaningful work that makes a positive impact daily. This role is about more than providing care; it involves forming genuine, supportive relationships with the individuals you serve, supporting their personal and developmental goals, and assisting them in participating fully in their communities. Caregivers at Sevita are trusted and encouraged to use their initiative to help participants pursue activities they enjoy while promoting independence through support in areas like budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and personal hygiene.
The caregiver position requires compassion, patience, and resilience, especially since you may support individuals with behavioral challenges and complex needs. Sevita fosters an environment where caregivers are valued, supported by supervisors who genuinely care for both the individuals served and the employees' well-being. As part of a stable and growing company, caregivers receive competitive pay including pay on demand and a full benefits package for full-time employees. This package includes 401(k) with a company match, paid time off, holiday pay, and opportunities for learning and development to advance your career.
Working at Sevita means job security with a meaningful purpose. You will contribute to a team dedicated to improving lives and enjoy a supportive network that values your contributions and encourages professional growth. If you're seeking a career that offers both personal fulfillment and professional stability, Sevita provides a promising future where you can thrive and grow.
