They deeply value inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunity in their workforce, fostering an environment where all employees can thrive regardless of race, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic.

The Caregiver role at REM Community Services offers part-time employment with a competitive pay rate of $17.00 per hour. This role is instrumental in helping participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities live their best lives through meaningful support and assistance. Caregivers work scheduled shifts on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and every other Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., requiring a flexible and dependable team member. A valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience post-permit and a clean driving record compliant with Sevita’s insurance policies are mandatory.

In this rewarding position, caregivers will provide direct support to individuals, including assistance with personal hygiene, behavioral challenges, and other complex needs. They take initiative to engage participants in their favorite activities, helping them be active members of their communities. The job provides an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the people you support, promoting their independence and growth through developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. Caregivers are trusted to make decisions that are in the best interest of those they serve, empowered by leadership that values their insight and compassion.

Sevita supports its employees with a rich array of benefits, including pay on demand, a full benefits package for full-time employees featuring 401(k) with a 3% company match, paid time off, holiday pay, and a supportive network of supervisors who prioritize both participant well-being and staff care. With a stable and growing company, employees enjoy job security and ample learning and development opportunities to build a fulfilling career path.

Essential skills include strong communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and excellent time management. Personal qualities such as patience, compassion, reliability, and responsibility are vital to succeed in this role. Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance is also required.
