Job Description

Mentor Community Services, a proud part of the Sevita family, is dedicated to providing exceptional community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. At Mentor Community Services, we believe that every person has the right to live a fulfilling and well-supported life. Our commitment centers on helping individuals achieve their fullest potential and live as independently as possible. As a mission-driven organization, we pride ourselves on the close relationships we build with the individuals we serve, as well as the supportive and inclusive environment we foster for our team members. We offer a culture where staff are motivated by meaningful work and where every day brings the opportunity to make a profound impact in someone’s life. Our workforce is expansive and growing, supported by a company that has been a health care leader for over 50 years, providing quality home and community-based specialized services across the United States.

The Clarks Summit Caregiver role represents an important position within Mentor Community Services. This caregiver position offers $16 per hour with a possibility for an additional $2 per hour shift differential depending on location and availability. The caregiver will undergo a 1-week paid orientation designed to equip them with the skills and knowledge required to provide excellent care. This is a role for compassionate individuals who are committed to supporting clients with high behaviors, including physical and verbal challenges, and who are willing to transport clients using a company van.

Day-to-day, the caregiver will be responsible for assisting individuals with personal hygiene, helping them with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, and supporting their involvement in community activities. The caregiver is central to fostering real, meaningful relationships with participants and providing the encouragement and support they need to live well. This position demands patience, reliability, and a compassionate approach to care. Working here means you will be part of an organization committed to your professional growth, offering full benefits for full-time employees including paid time off, holiday pay, health insurance options, and a 401(k) plan with company match. The company emphasizes a network of support with caring supervisors and offers job security in a stable, expanding organization.

Mentor Community Services and the larger Sevita family cherish each staff member’s development and ongoing learning, providing tools and training to help you have a fulfilling career. This caregiver role is more than just a job; it is a meaningful career path for those passionate about impacting lives positively. Join us today to experience a career well lived where your work directly supports individuals in growing, learning, and living well in their own communities.
