Job Description
Home Instead is a leading provider of non-medical in-home care services dedicated to enhancing the lives of aging adults in communities across the nation. As a well-established company specializing in senior care, Home Instead has built a strong reputation for delivering compassionate and respectful care that enables older adults to remain safe and comfortable in their own homes while aging with dignity. The company is committed to fostering an environment where both clients and caregivers feel valued, supported, and empowered.
By joining the Home Instead team as a Care Professional, you become a vital part of this mission. The Care Professional role is a rewarding position designed for individuals who are compassionate, dependable, and eager to make a positive difference every day. Whether you are an experienced caregiver or just starting your career in senior care, Home Instead offers a supportive workplace with flexible full-time and part-time hours to accommodate different lifestyles and availability. Working as a Care Professional for Home Instead means providing a variety of non-medical services, including companionship, personal care assistance, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication and appointment reminders, and specialized care such as dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
The company is currently hiring Care Professionals for all shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overnight, ensuring comprehensive coverage for seniors in need. This flexibility allows caregivers to select schedules that fit their personal lives while maintaining consistent and compassionate care for clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to form meaningful relationships with clients and their families while promoting independence, safety, and well-being.
Home Instead rewards its Care Professionals not only with competitive pay—which ranges from $20.00 to $26.60 per hour depending on certification status, shift availability, and experience—but also with a comprehensive benefits package. This includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid vacation and sick leave, 24/7 office support, tuition reimbursement for training programs, continuing education opportunities, cell phone and mileage reimbursement, supplemental benefits like term life insurance and disability plans, and a positive and supportive work environment. Additionally, there are incentives for weekend and overnight shifts, care professional referral bonuses, and discounts through corporate partnerships.
The role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the flexibility to work some weekends. Candidates must also successfully pass background, DMV, and drug screenings to ensure client safety and trust. Serving communities including Anderson Island, Fox Island, Gig Harbor, Lakewood, Steilacoom, Tacoma, University Place, and Vashon Island, Home Instead is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the health and happiness of elderly adults and their families. Join Home Instead today and start a fulfilling career where you can truly make a difference in the lives of seniors every day.
