Job Description

Sevita is a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care services, dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the United States. With a proud history spanning over 50 years, Sevita has established itself as a trusted and innovative organization committed to enhancing the quality of life and independence of the more than 50,000 individuals it serves nationally. With a workforce of approximately 40,000 team members, Sevita champions the belief that every person deserves to live well and be part of a nurturing, inclusive community. Sevita’s mission focuses on delivering quality, individualized supports that foster growth, learning, and self-reliance, regardless of the physical, cognitive, or behavioral challenges faced by those under their care. The company operates with a strong foundation built on respect, dignity, and the fundamental rights of individuals to lead fulfilling lives.

Sevita is currently seeking passionate, patient, and dedicated caregivers to join its mission-driven team. This role offers an hourly wage of $17.50, pay on demand, and a comprehensive benefits package available to full-time employees, including a 401(k) plan with a company match of 3%. Caregivers at Sevita play a vital role in guiding participants towards achieving developmental goals related to budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and everyday living skills. The position involves assisting with personal hygiene, managing behavioral challenges, and supporting complex needs with compassion and respect. The caregivers have the autonomy and trust from their leaders to make important decisions in the best interest of the participants they serve, enhancing their quality of life and promoting independence.

Working at Sevita means becoming part of a supportive workplace culture that fosters meaningful relationships—not only with those receiving care but also with colleagues and supervisors who deeply value employee wellbeing. The company provides continuous learning and professional development opportunities to empower caregivers with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive and build rewarding careers. This role is well suited for individuals who embody patience, compassion, reliability, and responsibility and who are eager to contribute positively to the community while advancing their own career paths. Sevita also offers paid time off and holiday pay to help employees recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance, ensuring each caregiver can bring their best self to work each day.

Beyond employment, Sevita actively promotes inclusiveness and equal opportunity in its hiring practices, celebrating diversity and ensuring all team members are respected regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics. Joining Sevita is an opportunity to experience a fulfilling career dedicated to making a real difference in people’s lives, while working for an established, stable, and growing company that values its team and their professional growth. Individuals interested in applying can expect to be welcomed into an organization committed to community, respect, and ongoing support for both participants and staff.
