As a Care Manager at Sunrise Senior Living, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the highest standard of care and service in assisted living, long-term care, and reminiscence neighborhoods. This position offers an opportunity to directly impact residents’ lives through both hands-on care and emotional support, following individualized care plans to ensure a safe and home-like setting. Your role will include a broad range of responsibilities, from participating in the development of individualized service plans to responding promptly to residents’ needs and concerns, engaging them in life enrichment activities, and maintaining thorough documentation of their health and behavior. This role also extends to risk management, general safety, housekeeping, laundry services, and dining service duties to provide holistic support to residents. Additionally, the position demands collaboration and ongoing training to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as Sunrise’s core standards. It is vital to approach each resident with empathy, understanding their unique communication patterns and histories to uphold their dignity and quality of life. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • CPR certificate and First Aid as required by state or provincial regulations
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous experience with seniors preferred
  • Ability to make independent decisions in residents' best interests
  • Adherence to Sunrise Senior Living policies and safety standards
  • Willingness to comply with all pre-employment screenings, health evaluations, and vaccination requirements
  • Valid driver’s license if driving a Sunrise vehicle
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and resident dignity

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred

Job Duties

  • Review and document Daily Log for resident information
  • Participate in development and updates of Individualized Service Plans
  • Manage care for a designated group of residents during shifts
  • Observe and report resident condition changes including symptoms and behaviors
  • Respond promptly to resident call bells and security system alerts
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living and encourage participation in enrichment activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in residents' rooms and common areas
  • Serve meals and ensure pleasant dining experiences
  • Follow resident diets as indicated on care plans
  • Participate in training and team meetings
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols including use of PPE and hazardous material handling
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
  • Lead and engage residents in reminiscence neighborhood activities
  • Report accidents, unsafe conditions, and occupational exposures immediately
  • Maintain proper storage and monitoring of oxygen tanks
  • Support risk management and safety compliance
  • Perform other assigned duties as required
