Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of experience in human services preferred
- Must be 18 years of age
- Working knowledge of computers
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation
- Completion of all state-required training and certification within mandated timeframes
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
- Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 8 pm
- Must adhere to company driving standards and policies
- Must be willing to undergo criminal background checks and drug testing
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of experience in human services preferred
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Knowledge of computers
- Completion of all state-required training and certification within mandated timeframes
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to work weekends and full 12-hour shifts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect individuals' rights
- Must be at least 18 years old
Job Duties
- Provide direct support or assistance as per individual service or program plans
- Assist with socialization and behavioral development
- Support personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community orientation, shopping, financial management, and citizenship
- Accurately document progress and maintain confidentiality
- Manage individuals' assets within budget and preferences
- Maintain healthy professional relationships with individuals, families, and case managers
- Report any abuse, neglect, medical, behavioral, or other incidents in accordance with policy
- Respect individuals' rights and assist them in exercising their rights
- Accompany individuals to medical appointments and relay information
- Administer or support self-administration of medication and document delivery
- Monitor health, communicate with nurses or supervisors, and handle emergencies
- Utilize medical equipment correctly and report malfunctions
- Prepare or support meal preparation according to menus and dietary needs
- Attend orientation and ongoing training
- Work scheduled hours, notify supervisor of absences, fill in shifts if necessary
- Collaborate with team members and promote communication and respect
- Comply with safety policies, report hazards, participate in safety training
- Transport individuals safely, ensure use of safety equipment, report accidents
- Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties to ensure a safe environment
- Participate in safety drills and protect individuals in emergencies
- Perform other duties as required
