The agency is known for its flexible scheduling, competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, and comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and growth of its employees.
At Visiting Angels, the role of a caregiver is vital and meaningful. Caregivers provide one-on-one non-medical care to seniors in the comfort of their own homes, helping maintain independence while ensuring safety and companionship. Employees are supported with weekly pay, paid training, mentorship programs, and a positive team environment that values open communication and dedication. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a genuine passion for helping others and want to build a rewarding, stable career in senior care.
Caregivers at Visiting Angels assist with a range of tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation, memory care, and bed care. The work requires physical ability such as lifting individuals weighing over 25 pounds and involves activities like sitting, standing, bending, walking, and climbing stairs. The agency fosters a culture of respect and professionalism, matching clients with caregivers to ensure compatibility and satisfaction for both parties.
Employees benefit from a supportive office staff who provide guidance and after-hours support, as well as numerous perks including hiring and referral bonuses, paid sick leave, dental, vision, and telemedicine services, and a 401(k) retirement program through CalSavers. Visiting Angels emphasizes professional development and offers opportunities for advancement, including becoming a mentor. The caregiver role is not just a job but a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families in the community.
