Job Requirements
- Ability to treat and care for seniors and special needs clients with dignity and respect
- availability to work on weekends
- ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
- possession of a valid driver’s license and auto insurance if driving
- successful completion of State of California Department of Social Services Home Care Aide Registry requirements
- passing DMV check
- passing drug screening
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- willingness to complete paid training and orientation
- compassionate and caring nature
- ability to communicate effectively with clients
- ability to provide physical assistance as needed
- prior caregiving experience is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Provide companionship
- perform light housekeeping
- prepare meals
- remind clients about medication
- run errands
- assist clients to and from appointments
- support activities of daily living including dressing, grooming, feeding, incontinence care, and transferring
- deliver specialized care for Alzheimer’s and dementia clients
