Job Requirements

  • Need driver’s license
  • have car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation
  • must be 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • six months experience in human services preferred
  • completed all required state training and certifications
  • working knowledge of computers
  • attend orientation and ongoing training
  • comply with safety policies and procedures

  • valid driver’s license in good standing
  • car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation
  • completed all required state training and certifications within mandated timeframes

Job Duties

  • Provide direct support or assistance in accordance with individual service or program plans
  • assist with socialization and behavioral development
  • assist with personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community orientation, shopping, financial management, citizenship, and other daily living activities
  • accurately document progress and review records to stay current with changes
  • maintain healthy and professional relationships with individuals served and their families
  • report any instances of alleged abuse or neglect
  • administer or support self-administration of medication and document accordingly
