Job Description

D&S Community Services, a proud member of the Sevita family, specializes in providing community-based services tailored for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sevita has been a leader in delivering home and community-based specialized health care for more than 50 years, serving roughly 50,000 individuals across the United States. With a dedicated team of over 40,000 employees, Sevita is committed to enhancing the quality of life, supporting independence, and nurturing growth for people facing a range of physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges. Their core mission centers on the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to live fully and independently, supported by individualized plans that promote personal growth and meaningful engagement within their communities.

Joining D&S Community Services at the Plantation Grove location in Katy, TX, you will be part of a mission-driven team that values compassion, patience, and dedication. This position is a full-time caregiver role that involves overnight hours from Friday through Sunday, offering a rate of $10 per hour. No GED or high school diploma is required, making it accessible to motivated individuals eager to start or grow in their caregiving careers. This role focuses on delivering hands-on support to participants, assisting with personal hygiene, behavioral challenges, and complex needs while promoting developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.

As a caregiver, you will develop meaningful relationships with those you serve and gain the trust and ownership to do what is best for each participant. The role encourages initiative to help participants participate actively in community activities and enjoy their favorite pastimes. In addition to offering meaningful work that impacts lives positively, this position comes with a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including paid time off, holiday pay, health benefits, a 401(k) plan with a company match, and supportive supervision. Employees access dedicated leadership teams who prioritize both participant well-being and staff support, fostering an environment of job security and career growth. Sevita also invests in employee development through training and learning opportunities, underscoring its commitment to long-term career fulfillment for caregivers. This position offers a stable job with an established company that continues to grow and innovate in the field of community-based care. Prospective applicants with six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination are preferred, though not mandatory, and candidates should have good communication skills, adaptability, strong time management, and the ability to work well in a team setting.

Sevita is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring no discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, citizenship, or any other protected characteristic. This role is ideal for compassionate, reliable individuals seeking to make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities while growing in a meaningful and rewarding career path.
