The agency prides itself on fostering a supportive team environment that promotes flexibility, professional growth, and rewarding work experiences. Employment opportunities are available for full-time, part-time, and overnight caregivers, with flexible schedules tailored to each individual's availability.
As a caregiver at Visiting Angels, you play a crucial role in providing one-on-one companionship and non-medical care to elderly clients, helping them maintain independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes. This role requires compassionate interaction combined with practical assistance, including personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation, and memory care support. This position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $19.00 to $21.00, complemented by a $100 hiring and retention bonus, with additional incentives for those holding a Home Care Aide (HCA) license. Visiting Angels supports its caregivers through paid training, a mentorship program offering one-on-one guidance during the initial weeks, and ongoing professional development opportunities to help enhance caregiving skills and career growth. Weekly pay cycles ensure financial stability, while supportive office staff and after-hours assistance guarantee a responsive and communicative workplace.
The company emphasizes a strong team culture with fun perks such as game nights, prizes, and team-building events. Benefits extend to offering dental, vision, telemedicine, counseling services, 401(k) retirement programs via CalSavers, paid sick leave, paid time off, and paid orientation. The agency also promotes advancement opportunities including becoming a mentor and recognizes outstanding caregivers through programs like Caregiver of the Month and Nationwide Caregiver of the Year awards.
Caregivers at Visiting Angels are not just employees; they are valued members of a dedicated team committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. Working within clients' homes across various counties, caregivers must be reliable, flexible, and willing to engage in physically demanding tasks while maintaining a positive attitude and open communication.
