The Home Manager role at Beacon Health Options is a vital leadership position responsible for overseeing one or more residential homes providing care to individuals served by the organization. The Home Manager is tasked with supervising and supporting Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), coordinating maintenance and facility upkeep, and collaborating closely with clinical teams to enhance the lives of the individuals in care. In this role, the Home Manager will ensure all company and regulatory policies are adhered to at all times, guaranteeing compliance and safety in the residential setting. They are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations within the home to meet or exceed budgetary and clinical effectiveness goals set by the company and its customers. A key aspect of the role is to support and supervise assigned DSPs, ensuring they are fully trained and equipped to deliver high-quality care. The Home Manager is also responsible for maintaining the home’s facilities, equipment, and furnishings in good working order, delegating repairs where appropriate and coordinating with maintenance departments and contractors to address any issues promptly.

Clinically, the Home Manager acts as a liaison with the clinical team and direct supervisor to ensure that the health, safety, and stability of individuals are maintained and improved. They are involved in overseeing activities and programs designed to enrich social, emotional, mental, and physical wellness while promoting independent living skills and home involvement. Regular communication with internal and external clinical, medical, and regulatory agencies is crucial to uphold the quality of care and compliance standards. The Home Manager also ensures that DSPs attend scheduled Individual functions and maintain consistent interaction with the individuals as outlined in their person-centered plans.

To qualify for this position, candidates should have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with a strong preference for those who have completed at least two years of college coursework in business, social sciences, or related human service disciplines. Leadership experience within healthcare or behavioral health settings is highly valued, particularly if it includes supervisory roles. Additionally, candidates must meet state, federal, and governmental approval requirements to work within specialized behavioral support programs. Completion of industry-required trainings and tuberculosis screenings (where applicable) is mandatory.
