Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED as required by state or provincial regulations
- CPR certificate and First Aid as mandated
- must be at least 18 years old
- previous experience working with seniors preferred
- strong desire to serve and care for seniors
- ability to make thoughtful choices and decisions prioritizing resident well-being
- compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines when driving a Sunrise vehicle where applicable.

- understanding of safety and regulatory compliance related to driving a Sunrise vehicle if applicable.
Job Duties
- Review, read, notate, and initial Daily Log to document and learn about pertinent information about residents
- participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates
- review designated assignments
- care for a designated group of residents during shifts and conduct physical checks
- observe, report, and document changes in residents' symptoms and conditions
- attend daily team meetings
- notify supervisors of increased care needs or changes in condition
- respond promptly to security system and call bells
- greet and assist guests, family, and team members
- assist with continence management and proper sanitation
- communicate with families and act as a resource as needed
- help residents maintain independence and safety
- participate and assist with activities of daily living and encourage resident participation in activities
- engage residents in life skills and enrichment activities
- maintain a warm and calm environment
- ensure adherence to safety regulations
- practice cleanliness and hygiene standards
- host activities daily
- partner with the team on risk management and safety compliance
- practice safety procedures including PPE and fire safety
- report accidents and unsafe conditions immediately
- manage housekeeping and laundry duties appropriately
- serve meals and ensure a pleasant dining experience
- follow resident diets and observe changes in dining habits
- provide room service delivery
- practice safe food handling
- implement specific reminiscence neighborhood responsibilities such as engaging residents in social and sensory activities
- participate actively in team training, meetings, and engagement programs
- maintain compliance with infection control and required training
- perform other assigned duties.
