Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Basic office and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage front desk tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist or similar role preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

Job Duties

  • Managing front desk operations, including patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and referral coordination
  • Verifying insurance coverage, processing authorizations, and collecting payments
  • Maintaining accurate patient records by registering new patients and updating EMR
  • Preparing necessary documentation related to patient care
  • Answering phone calls and assisting patients courteously and professionally
  • Upholding HIPAA compliance and maintaining a welcoming healthcare environment
  • Supporting billing accuracy and smooth patient access to care
