This position offers a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk within a patient-centered physical therapy setting. The Front Desk Medical Receptionist at BreakThrough Physical Therapy will have the unique opportunity to be the welcoming face of the clinic, managing a variety of essential administrative and customer service duties. This role is vital in fostering positive patient experiences, from the initial greeting and check-in process to appointment scheduling and insurance verification. Employees in this position benefit from a competitive hourly wage ranging between 15 and 17 dollars, dependent on their prior experience, and a work schedule that spans 30 to 32 hours weekly, primarily Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including one shortened day. This schedule is designed to promote work-life balance while maintaining comprehensive support for patients.

Those in this role will be responsible for managing all front desk operations, including patient check-in and check-out processes, appointment scheduling, and referral coordination. Handling insurance verifications, processing prior authorizations, and collecting payments are also essential functions that support accurate billing and facilitate smooth patient access to care. Maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations is paramount, as is the maintenance and accurate updating of patient records within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. The receptionist will also serve as the primary point of contact for phone inquiries, providing courteous, professional, and efficient service to all patients and visitors.
The ideal candidate for this position possesses a high school diploma or GED, basic office skills including customer service proficiency, and preferably, previous experience in a medical office environment.
