The role of Care Coordinator III, Addiction & Recovery, is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position within the Young Adult Court (YAC) Department. The position carries an hourly pay rate between $28.00 and $32.00 and offers work shifts from Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. This position reports directly to the Young Adult Court Supervisor and plays a vital role in supporting Transitional Age Young Men aged 18-25 with histories of nonviolent felonies and substance abuse. The Care Coordinator III is based primarily at the YAC Recovery-Focused Home, a voluntary transitional housing program that serves up to six participants. The program’s goal is to provide intensive case management, recovery support, life skills education, and maintain a safe, structured living environment.

This role requires a trauma-informed, person-centered approach as part of a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with various community partners such as the University of California Irvine, Orangewood Foundation, Probation, and legal offices. The Care Coordinator III’s responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment and case management plans, facilitating recovery-focused workshops, and coordinating resources related to legal, social, mental health, housing, employment, and educational needs. The Care Coordinator also participates in court sessions and stakeholder meetings to ensure compliance and successful outcomes for participants.
