Job Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant or EMT/Paramedic - active licensure in the State of Florida - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
  • American Heart Association BLS - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
  • 1-3 years of clerical or customer service experience

  • Previous healthcare experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively and follow directions from Registered Nurse and Nursing Leader
  • Ability to apply principles of evidence-based practice, analytical thinking and service excellence
  • CPI (Crisis Intervention Training) preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to learn appropriate software applications

Job Duties

  • Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, personal hygiene, nutrition and comfort measures, changing bed linens, and diapers
  • Performs vital signs, heights, weights, head circumference and other measurements and records the results in the Electronic Health Record according to nursing and hospital policies and procedures
  • Informs RN of pertinent information and/or communicates all significant changes in patient condition or behavior
  • Recognizes accepted priorities for care needs and takes direction for re-prioritizing from the RN
  • Restocks supplies such as gloves, gowns, linen, medical equipment, and assists with room preparation and turnover
  • Identifies the needs of the patient and guests and provides necessary supplies accordingly
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and promotes/practices cost containment
