Banner Boswell Medical Center, located in Sun City, Arizona, is a highly respected healthcare institution recognized nationally for its outstanding medical services and commitment to patient care. With over five decades of dedication to the communities in the northwest area of metro-Phoenix, Banner Boswell operates a 410-bed acute-care hospital offering a comprehensive array of acute care services. These services include cardiology, vascular, thoracic, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, general surgery, robotic surgery, rehabilitation, emergency care, stroke management, intensive care, pulmonary services, urology, and inpatient wound management. The hospital's commitment to quality and excellence has been acknowledged through prestigious awards such as the Society of Thoracic Surgeons highest quality award for CABG and aortic valve replacement, along with the Joint Commission's Advanced Certification as a Primary Stroke Center.

The role of the Cath Lab/EP Technologist at Banner Boswell is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and highly skilled cardiovascular team within the Cardiac Cath Lab. This position plays a vital role in supporting physicians and providing exceptional patient care during cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. The Cath Lab/EP Technologist works closely with a team of advanced registry certified Special Procedures Technologists (SPTs) and physicians, contributing advanced knowledge and technical skills to assist with procedures. Technologists in this role may perform various functions including operating imaging equipment at the procedural table, scrub-assisting during procedures, prepping patients in the pre/post recovery areas, starting peripheral intravenous lines, and maintaining accurate patient records. Additionally, there are opportunities to participate in specialized programs such as the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program in the Hybrid Surgical Suite, which highlights the advanced level of procedural care offered.

This full-time role requires working four 10-hour day shifts from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with the expectation to provide night, holiday, and weekend on-call support, responding within 30 minutes. While prior experience in Cath Lab/EP is preferred, motivated individuals who have recently obtained their Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) license and are seeking career growth are encouraged to apply, as training will be provided. The Special Procedures Technologist is an integral member of the fast-paced Cath Lab team, providing critical support during cardiac procedures through a mix of imaging, scrubbing, circulating, and patient monitoring responsibilities. This dynamic role ensures that patients receive the highest standard of care in a collaborative and innovative clinical environment, supported by a nationally recognized healthcare leader committed to excellence in cardiac care. Joining Banner Boswell offers the opportunity to advance your professional skills, make a meaningful impact on patient lives, and work with cutting-edge technology within a supportive team-based culture.
