Job Description
Banner North Colorado Medical Center, located in Greeley, Colorado, is a renowned healthcare institution known for delivering high-quality medical care to the community. It is part of Banner Health, a nationally recognized healthcare system that provides a wide range of services across multiple disciplines. Banner Health is committed to offering employment opportunities that cater to individual career and lifestyle needs, embracing a culture of respect, integrity, and excellence in patient care. The Banner Staffing Services department plays a crucial role in supporting the hospital's mission by providing flexible and reliable staffing solutions, including Registry and Per Diem positions, allowing healthcare professionals to integrate their careers with their personal lives effectively.
The current opportunity is for an experienced Echocardiography (ECHO) Technologist at Banner North Colorado Medical Center. This role is primarily day-shift based, operating Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the expectation of weekend call to provide consistent and quality cardiac imaging services. The position is designed for candidates with a deep understanding of cardiac ultrasound procedures and technology, offering echo services for both inpatients and outpatients. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of recent ECHO experience, certifications such as ARDMS, RDCS, CCI, or RCS, and must hold valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
As an Echocardiography Technologist, you will be integral to the diagnostic team, providing critical imaging that assists cardiologists and cardiac surgeons in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. Your work involves performing specialized ultrasound procedures, ensuring quality imaging, and adhering to established protocols and accreditation standards, such as those set by the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) or the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). You will play a pivotal role in maintaining workflow efficiency, educating patients and families regarding procedures, troubleshooting and maintaining equipment, and upholding ethical and professional standards in the practice.
This role not only requires technical expertise but also effective communication skills, as you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and potentially train new staff and students in sonographic techniques. Banner Health values continuous learning and professional development, providing opportunities to advance within the organization. Compensation for this position ranges from $37.14 to $61.90 per hour, reflecting the candidate’s experience, certifications, and education. In addition to competitive wages, Banner Health offers a comprehensive total rewards package that emphasizes employee well-being and work-life balance.
Working as part of Banner Staffing Services means you will also benefit from incentives such as a 10% pay bonus and shift differentials for nights and weekends. While Registry and Per Diem positions may not include a guaranteed number of hours or medical benefits package, they offer flexibility and a pathway to permanent employment within Banner Health. Supportive resources like employee assistance programs, wellness initiatives, and discounts on entertainment and shopping contribute to an engaging and supportive work environment. Banner Health maintains a drug-free, inclusive workplace that complies with Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines, reinforcing its dedication to diversity and ethical practices.
