The opportunity to join Delaware North's Patina Group as a Captain at Monsieur Dior in Beverly Hills, California, presents a dynamic role filled with responsibilities central to delivering unparalleled guest service. This position is available as either full-time or part-time, offering a flexible work arrangement to accommodate different schedules. The hourly wage is $17.87, not including potential tips, which enhances overall compensation.
As a Captain, you will take a leadership role in ensuring each guest's dining experience at Monsieur Dior is memorable and satisfying. This role is about more than simply serving food and beverages; it involves warmly welcoming guests, expertly managing orders, and supporting the restaurant team by coordinating with servers, kitchen, and bar staff. You will also be responsible for upholding all operational standards by performing opening and closing duties, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all dining equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
The Captain position requires attentiveness to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will be proficient in handling cash and credit transactions, navigating point-of-sale systems, and following all establishment policies, especially those related to alcohol service. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs, as well as walk, which may include walking up stairs, stand, and bend for long periods of time
- Visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cash handling and credit card processing
- Beneficial if you have one year’s experience as a server in a high-volume environment and experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment
- No high school diploma or GED required
Job Duties
- Greet and attend to guests’ needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answering menu questions, and collecting food and beverage orders
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures
- Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver the check to guests
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen, and bar staff
- Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning
