The Meat Department associate will be responsible for achieving budgeted financial goals, such as sales, gross profit, inventory levels, and shrink reduction. While the position does not include regular supervisory responsibilities, the individual will play a key role in training meat associates according to corporate and state policies and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The role also involves ordering and merchandising meat products, maintaining proper temperature and sanitation guidelines, documenting grind and meat logs, and controlling inventory.

Additionally, the position requires excellent communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to handle administrative duties related to scheduling and inventory management. Job Duties

  • Consistently provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times
  • Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation at all times, following 5S standards
  • Handle and merchandise all meat products according to company policy
  • Display and express complete product knowledge to customers
  • Achieve all budgeted financial figures for the Meat Department including sales, gross profit, shrink, inventory levels, wrap, and payroll
  • Manage day-to-day operations including scheduling, training, and administrative duties
  • Order meat products and maintain inventory control methods
  • Cut meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers, and grinders
  • Maintain corporate safety standards throughout the department
  • Oversee Meat Department associates and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Train meat associates per corporate and state policies
  • Maintain all corporate assets within the Meat Department
  • Adhere to sanitation and temperature guidelines including inspection standards
  • Maintain grind logs and meat logs per policy
  • Manage the store as needed at the Store Manager's discretion
  • Control shrink through adherence to policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times
