Job Description

New Canvassing Experience (NCE) is a forward-thinking canvassing company that partners with highly respected organizations such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), International Rescue Committee (IRC), Planned Parenthood, and The Nature Conservancy. Operating primarily in Seattle, WA, NCE is dedicated to creating a new standard in canvassing that benefits donors, charities, canvassers, and the community at large. Their vision is to cultivate a generation of activists who transform the culture and conversation surrounding social and environmental justice. This mission is realized by inspiring creativity, excellence, and integrity through passionate storytelling and maximizing the return on investment for the causes they serve. The company prides itself on a culture that values its people, fosters excellence, and encourages a spirit of collaboration and authenticity.

The role of Canvasser at NCE is a crucial one that directly impacts the success of partner charities by engaging the public and securing committed donors. Working outdoors in busy public spaces around Seattle, the Canvasser uses persuasive storytelling and emotional engagement to inspire potential donors to support vital social and environmental missions. This position offers competitive pay starting at $24 per hour plus performance-based bonuses, reflecting the organization’s commitment to valuing and rewarding its team members. The role demands working Wednesday through Sunday, with some evenings and public holidays, offering flexibility balanced with impactful work.

NCE prioritizes work-life balance, career growth, and a supportive work environment, offering benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance after 90 days, paid time off, ongoing training, career advancement opportunities, team-building activities, and even national and international travel for major events. Canvassers become part of a positive and inclusive workplace culture where their contributions are recognized and their personal and professional development nurtured. The role offers not just a job but a chance to make a real difference through meaningful engagement and community involvement.

No prior fundraising or canvassing experience is required for this position. Instead, candidates who are passionate about social and environmental justice and demonstrate skills in customer service, sales, marketing, or any people-facing role are highly valued. Flexibility, self-motivation, emotional intelligence, and a genuine passion for creating a just, safe, and inclusive world are essential qualities for success. All team members are supported with paid training to equip them to excel in this unique position, empowering them to tell compelling stories and engage the public effectively. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to contribute actively to important causes while growing their skills in a dynamic and mission-driven environment.
