Job Description
The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) is a vital part of the University of South Carolina system, which spans across the state from the Upstate to the Lowcountry with eight institutions and 20 locations. The role of Campus Visit and Event Program Coordinator is a dynamic and highly visible position within USCB’s Division of Enrollment Management. This professional will lead the design, planning, and execution of engaging campus visits and signature admissions events that inspire prospective students and their families. The coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for all admissions events and daily campus visit activities, ensuring that prospective students have a welcoming and informative experience that positively shapes their perception of the university. Key responsibilities include overseeing logistics such as scheduling, event space reservations, coordinating catering and audiovisual support, and preparing materials. The position demands a detail-oriented and organized professional capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm.
In addition to event management, the coordinator will also supervise and mentor the student ambassador program, cultivating student leaders who represent USCB with excellence. This collaborative role requires working closely with various campus partners to align event planning with enrollment goals and campus-wide initiatives. The coordinator plays an active part in recruitment efforts by attending local college fairs and high school visits, thereby expanding outreach and promoting USCB's offerings. As part of the admissions process, the coordinator assists in evaluating applicants through a holistic review process. Job Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field
- Requires two or more years of job related experience or equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and experience
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet department needs
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a job related field
- Two or more years of job related experience or equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and experience
- Strong organizational and event planning skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems such as Slate preferred
- Knowledge of Student Information Systems such as Banner preferred
- Bi-lingual skills preferred
- Previous experience in college admissions, event planning, or sales preferred
Job Duties
- Serve as the lead coordinator and primary point of contact for all admissions events and daily campus visit programming
- Plan, execute, and continuously enhance high-impact recruitment events and visit experiences
- Deliver engaging information sessions to prospective students and families
- Collaborate with campus partners to ensure seamless, welcoming, and informative visit experiences
- Evaluate applicants for admission, contributing to enrollment goals
- Supervise and mentor the Student Ambassador Program, developing student leaders who represent USCB with excellence
- Occasionally represent USCB at local college fairs and high school visits, expanding outreach efforts
