The position available is for a Campus Housekeeper on the evening shift. This role is vital in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various areas of the medical pavilion, including patient rooms, surgical areas, laboratories, public spaces, and more. The housekeeper is responsible not only for routine cleaning tasks but also for adhering to the hospital’s infection control protocols, safety standards, and corporate compliance programs. This full-time position requires a diligent professional who demonstrates accountability, effective resource use, and teamwork. The housekeeper will participate actively in performance improvement initiatives and assist supervisors in training new employees. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of custodial experience
  • Ability to perform basic unit operations such as cup, pint, quart, ounce, inch, foot, and yards
  • Ability to follow hospital infection control and safety policies
  • Physical capability to perform cleaning duties
  • Willingness to work evening full-time shift
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • One or more years of custodial experience
  • Two or more years with one employer
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures in various facility areas
  • Ability to use floor care and upholstery equipment

Job Duties

  • Perform cleaning procedures according to schedule and department quality standards

  • Clean diverse facility areas including patient rooms, surgical and labor units, public spaces, and more
  • Follow all infection prevention, safety, and human resource policies and report related incidents
  • Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment safely and efficiently
  • Deliver clean linen and remove soiled linen and trash to appropriate disposal areas
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and assist with new employee training
