Currently, Sodexo is seeking an experienced Campus Executive Chef for a prestigious university account located in the heart of Washington D.C. This position spans across two campuses and offers a unique opportunity to lead culinary operations in a dynamic academic environment with a large volume of activity. The role involves managing culinary standards, innovation, and programs to ensure excellence in food quality and service. The Campus Executive Chef will play a critical role in overseeing recipe execution, safety, sanitation, and providing strong leadership by being actively present in the kitchen during service times.
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and supporting executive chefs and their teams, ensuring that Sodexo culinary standards and customer satisfaction are maintained at the highest level. This leadership position requires a strategic mindset combined with hands-on kitchen experience and the ability to inspire and develop culinary teams. The Campus Executive Chef will manage all aspects of back-of-the-house operations, including purchasing, inventory, food cost analysis, staff training, and sustainability initiatives.
An integral part of the role is fostering innovation and excellence in the university dining program to meet the diverse tastes and needs of the student body and staff. This includes overseeing concept development, menu design, and the implementation of new culinary concepts, as well as promoting customer loyalty and enhancing the brand image. The candidate will also ensure compliance with automated food inventory and management systems, driving efficiency and consistency across both campuses.
Sodexo offers a competitive and equitable salary based on the candidate's education, skills, and experience. Additional incentives such as relocation assistance are available to support the transition. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision care, 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, career growth opportunities, and tuition reimbursement.
